Assessments
Understanding each learner’s starting point is key to helping them thrive.

We offer a small number of focused assessments to help identify academic levels, learning needs and potential barriers. These tools support personalised planning, inform referrals and help measure progress over time.

All baseline assessments are carried out by Chris, one of our senior managers. He holds a diploma in SEND and has previously worked as a senior leader in education. Chris brings a calm, supportive approach that helps build trust and engagement from the very first session.

Our in-house educational psychologist, Veronica, conducts all other assessments. She has extensive experience working with young people with complex needs and is passionate about making assessments accessible, compassionate and useful for families and professionals alike.
1
Baseline Assessments
A short academic assessment that helps us understand where a young person is currently working in key areas like reading, writing and maths. This gives us a starting point for planning personalised tuition and measuring progress over time. We can also carry out these assessments in more specialised subjects.
2
ADHD Assessments
A behaviour-based screening carried out by our in-house educational psychologist. This process explores traits linked to Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder and can support school strategies or onward referrals. While it does not provide a formal medical diagnosis, it offers valuable insight for families, schools and medical professionals.
3
Autism Spectrum Disorder Assessents
This screening explores communication, sensory needs, routines and social understanding to identify traits associated with autism. Conducted by our educational psychologist, it does not replace a formal medical diagnosis but can provide strong supporting evidence for referrals or EHCPs.
4
Dyslexia and Dyscalcula Assessments
Our educational psychologist can formally assess and diagnose specific learning difficulties such as dyslexia and dyscalculia. These in-depth assessments help explain barriers to learning and provide clear recommendations for support in education settings.
