My Story
Hello, I’m Helen!
I’m a qualified teacher based in Poulton-le-Fylde, with experience teaching and supporting children and young people aged 3 to 20.
I have taught English to children and young adults from around the world, working with learners from a wide range of backgrounds and abilities. I also used to live in Spain! Alongside this, I have worked with primary school children in our local area, supporting their learning across the curriculum, including English, maths, art, P.E. and music.
I particularly enjoy teaching on a 1:1 basis, getting to know each child and tailoring my approach to help them learn in a way that works for them. Whether we’re developing reading and writing skills, tackling maths or building confidence, I aim to make learning a positive and enjoyable experience.
I’m a patient, kind and encouraging teacher, and I love helping children recognise what they’re capable of. Seeing a child grow in confidence and feel proud of their progress is one of my favourite parts of teaching.
A little more about me: I’m 38, my favourite colour is purple, and I support Liverpool! I love dogs, enjoy watching EastEnders and love cooking - especially when there’s sticky toffee pudding for dessert!
