Hello, I'm Lisa

I am a fully qualified teacher with over 20 years of experience, having qualified in 2006. I have experience teaching a vast array of subjects, with a focus on building confidence and improving outcomes through clear explanations and practical learning.

Since qualifying, I've taught a range of ages and abilities, so I'm confident I can help students no matter their individual needs. I will create differentiated learning sessions to make sure that I'm providing the best innovative and engaging approach for each student I tutor and help them achieve their goals academically. 

I have high expectations; these are balanced by a sensitive and inclusive approach to the way in which all learn and make progress. I firmly believe that acknowledging the differences in individuals is key to successful behaviour for learning.

I understand the importance of consistency as the key to mutually building relationships. I have been privileged to enjoy good relationships with pupils, parents and outside agencies. I have been able to give constructive feedback, set targets, and make effective use of positive reinforcement to keep my workspace stimulating and well managed.

Outside of work and family, I enjoy swimming, theatre, crafts and nature.
