Chantelle
My Story
Hi, I’m Chantelle – a fully qualified teacher with a Master’s degree in Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND), and a real passion for helping young people shine! I bring years of experience, bundles of patience, and a love for creative, inclusive learning to every session. My goal is simple: to help young people feel confident, capable, and excited about their education. Whether your child needs to catch up, build confidence, or just learn in a way that feels more ‘them’, I’m here to support every step of the way.

I offer fun, personalised 1-to-1 tuition for children aged 4 and up. Every child is different, so I design each session around the individual – their personality, their strengths, and their needs. I blend structure with creativity to make lessons enjoyable and effective, striking the perfect balance between support and challenge. Whether we’re working on phonics, problem-solving, creative writing or real-world maths, every session is adapted to help your child make progress and feel proud of it.

From Early Years through Key Stage 1, 2 & 3, and right up to Functional Skills in Maths and English – I’ve got you covered. I teach core subjects across all these stages and have experience supporting learners working at pre-entry level through to Level 2. That includes helping with key academic skills, exam prep, and building foundational knowledge. My approach is flexible, so whether we’re laying the groundwork in numeracy and literacy or pushing towards a specific qualification, I make sure it fits each student’s goals and learning pace.

Learning happens best when young people feel safe and supported – which is why I offer tuition in the comfort of your home, or wherever your child feels most at ease. This could be at home, a local library, or another calm environment where they can focus without pressure. I also create bespoke learning plans that match each learner’s style, interests, and ability level. This individualised approach means that your child gets the targeted support they need to thrive – emotionally, academically, and personally.

I’ve worked with children and young people from all kinds of educational backgrounds, including those outside of mainstream school settings. This includes experience with pupils attending Pupil Referral Units (PRUs), alternative provisions, and home-educated learners. I specialise in building strong, trusting relationships – especially with learners who may have had difficult experiences with school. Rebuilding that sense of belief in themselves and reigniting their enthusiasm for learning is something I take great pride in.

Above all, I believe in celebrating the wins – big or small – and creating a space where young people feel listened to, encouraged, and inspired. I make it a priority to understand what’s going well, what motivates each learner, and how to build on those positives. Progress looks different for every child, and I work with each family to set realistic goals and find joy in the journey. Whether your child needs to take small steps or big leaps, I’ll be right there to guide and cheer them on.
