My Story
I have over 10 years of experience working in education in Sheffield, particularly within the primary and secondary schools of Locality B. Throughout this time, I’ve held a variety of roles, from classroom support to pastoral roles and most recently worked as an Inclusion Coordinator in a secondary school setting.

Earlier in my career, I led a Step Out Alternative Provision for five years under the Sheffield Inclusion Centre. This role gave me invaluable insight into the world of alternative provision - highlighting the importance of flexibility, nurture, and tailored approaches to meet the diverse needs of learners. I saw firsthand how the right environment can transform a young person’s outlook, confidence, and future.

I’ve developed a strong specialism in Nurture, designing supportive environments, developing tailored curriculums, and working closely with children with EAL, SEND, and particularly SEMH needs. I’ve also built strong relationships with the Roma community in Sheffield, offering culturally sensitive support and guidance to both children and families.

I am deeply passionate about making a meaningful difference to the lives of young people and their families. I believe that every child deserves the opportunity to achieve and be successful, and I am committed to breaking down the barriers that can prevent them from doing so.

The Ember Centre is built on everything I value in education: to Engage, Motivate, create a sense of Belonging, Empower learners, and support them to Regulate. At Ember, we believe in igniting potential and helping every young person feel seen, safe, and supported as they grow.
