Tom
My Story
Hi, I’m Tom, an Aerospace Engineering undergraduate at the University of Leeds who aims to help students build confidence and clarity in Maths and Science. My approach is focused on making the subject engaging, manageable, and accessible, breaking down challenging topics into simpler tasks. I also offer clear support with revision strategies and exam technique.
Having achieved A*A*A*A at A level in Mathematics, Physics, Economics and EPQ, as well as GCSE grades 9s and 8s, I have a strong understanding of the current exam systems and methods. This allows me to offer relevant, practical advice on how to revise effectively and approach assessments with confidence.

One of the main reasons that I wanted to become a tutor is that having benefitted from a tutor at the start of my A levels inspired me to change the way I viewed my education and encouraged me to aim higher academically. I hope to bring the same supportive and motivational approach to my own tutoring.

Working with children and young adults is a passion of mine. I have tutored and run activities with young people and know that I can inspire enthusiasm and involvement.

Outside of academics, I enjoy rugby, playing the guitar, training in the gym and a good fantasy novel.
