My Story

Hi, I'm Dan!

I have spent many years working with children, young people and adults across a variety of educational, outdoor and community settings. My background combines leadership, mentoring and teaching experience, allowing me to support learners in developing confidence, resilience and the skills they need to succeed.

Throughout my career, I have worked in a range of countries and cultures, giving me valuable experience in communicating with and supporting people from diverse backgrounds. I have delivered both classroom-based and outdoor learning, adapting my approach to suit the needs, interests and learning styles of each individual.

A significant part of my experience has involved working with young people through youth organisations, adventure activities and community programmes. As a local Scout Leader, I regularly help young people develop independence, teamwork, problem-solving skills and self-confidence in a supportive and encouraging environment. I hold a DBS certificate and am committed to creating safe, positive learning experiences for every learner I work with.

I also have extensive experience in first aid, rescue and emergency response, including delivering training to others. My qualifications in outdoor education and adventure activities allow me to bring a practical, engaging approach to learning that helps students stay motivated and build confidence in their own abilities.

I am currently studying a Level 2 qualification in Children's and Young People's Mental Health, further developing my understanding of how to support learners' wellbeing alongside their educational progress.

I believe that every young person can succeed when they are given the right support, encouragement and opportunities. My aim is to help learners build confidence, develop new skills and achieve goals they can be proud of.
