Hello
I’m Zac, the Director of Lytham Tutors. I oversee our growing team and work closely with families, schools, and local authorities to make sure every young person gets the support they deserve. I’m also a dental student at the University of Sheffield, and I’m passionate about making a difference to people’s lives through both education and healthcare.
My Story
I was born in Chorley and went to Holy Cross Catholic High School, where I achieved six grade 9s and three grade 8s. From there, I studied Biology, Chemistry and European Modern History at Runshaw College, earning three A*s. I’ve experienced the pressure of exams first-hand and understand how much the right support can help.
I now live in Sheffield, where I’m in my fourth year of studying to become a dentist. I run Lytham Tutors remotely with the help of our brilliant managers, Ebony and Chris – though I’m often back in Lancashire to check in (and bother them!). I’m also the President of the Dental Society at the University of Sheffield, and I love getting involved in organising events and supporting both current and future students.
Outside of education and dentistry, I’m passionate about the performing arts. I've taught singing and musical theatre to young people with additional needs and occasionally perform myself. Fun fact: Chris, one of our managers, actually taught me GCSE Music!
I’ve also had a background in sport, previously competing in athletics as North of England Champion over 200 metres. These days, I’ve swapped sprinting for tutoring and healthcare, and I’m proud to lead a team that makes a real difference to young people every day.
