Hi, I’m James.

I am a former secondary school science teacher with around nine years of experience teaching Biology, Chemistry and Physics. During my teaching career, I worked as Head of Chemistry and Head of Science, giving me extensive experience in supporting students with subject knowledge, confidence, revision strategies and exam technique.

My tutoring style is calm, friendly and structured. I like students to feel comfortable asking questions, even if they are unsure, and I focus on breaking topics down into clear, manageable steps. I also place a strong emphasis on exam technique, helping students understand how to approach questions and apply their knowledge effectively.

Outside of tutoring, I enjoy music, playing guitar and singing in a band, as well as watching and playing football.
