Katie

Hello! My name is Katie and I am currently a reception teacher. 

 

My experience ranges from nursery age children to year 6, including SEND support both one to one and in a whole class setting. I specialise in all areas of English and Maths - including Phonics, reading, spelling grammar, punctuation and comprehension across all primary age groups. 

 

My main aim when teaching is to ensure all lessons are fun and engaging. We often play games and complete challenges. A large part of my practice focuses on confidence building, creating a culture where it is okay to make a mistake and to simply, ‘have a go’. I particularly enjoy getting to know my students, tailoring their learning to their specific needs and interests to help them succeed, celebrating the little wins!
