My Story

Hi, I'm Lindsey!

I am a fully qualified Science and Mathematics teacher with Qualified Teacher Status (QTS), a PGCE and a strong academic background in Biology, Chemistry, Physics and Mathematics. Alongside my teaching qualifications, I hold a BSc (Hons) in Equine Science and an MSc in Animal Behaviour, giving me a genuine passion for science and helping young people understand the world around them.

I have experience teaching across Key Stage 3 and GCSE, delivering Biology, Chemistry, Physics, Mathematics and Combined Science to learners of varying abilities. Throughout my career, I have supported students both within mainstream secondary schools and in specialist settings, helping them develop confidence, resilience and a positive attitude towards learning.

More recently, I have specialised in supporting young people with SEND and SEMH needs, including those educated in alternative provisions, residential settings, libraries and their own homes. This has helped me develop a highly personalised approach to teaching, enabling me to adapt lessons to suit each learner's individual strengths, challenges and goals.

I believe that strong relationships are at the heart of successful learning. My approach is patient, supportive and encouraging, helping students feel comfortable enough to ask questions, take risks and build confidence in their abilities. Whether a learner is preparing for GCSEs, catching up on missed learning or working to overcome barriers to education, I am committed to helping them achieve success.

Above all, I am passionate about making Science and Mathematics accessible, engaging and enjoyable, helping every learner realise their potential and take pride in their progress.
