My Story

Hi, I'm Lisa!

I am an experienced and enthusiastic teacher with over 27 years of experience working across both primary and secondary education. Throughout my career, I have taught learners aged 3 to 18 in both state and independent school settings, giving me a broad understanding of how young people learn and develop at different stages of their educational journey.

I am passionate about helping every learner achieve their potential and take pride in creating positive, supportive learning environments where students feel valued, encouraged and confident to succeed. My experience spans a wide range of subjects, and I am skilled at adapting lessons to suit different learning styles, abilities and individual needs. Whether a student requires additional support, greater challenge or a different approach to learning, I enjoy finding strategies that help them engage and make progress.

As a linguist, I have a particular interest in modern foreign languages and communication, but I am equally passionate about developing learners' confidence, independence and resilience. Alongside my teaching experience, I have held extensive pastoral responsibilities, including form tutor roles, supporting young people both academically and personally throughout their education.

I am known for my friendly, approachable and adaptable nature, and I work hard to build strong relationships with learners and their families. I believe that education is about far more than academic achievement alone; it is about helping young people develop the confidence, skills and mindset they need to thrive both in school and beyond.

Above all, I am committed to making learning engaging, enjoyable and rewarding, helping every student feel successful and proud of their achievements.
