My Story

I’m an experienced educator with a 20-year career spanning facilitation, classroom teaching and private tuition. I began my career as a facilitator across a range of university-led science programmes designed for schools, where I developed a strong foundation in making complex ideas accessible and engaging through hands-on, practical learning.

I spent many years as a primary teacher in both mainstream and alternative provision across Manchester and Oldham. During that time, I taught across KS1 and KS2, led subjects including science, computing and equality and diversity, and mentored early career teachers. I have a strong track record of supporting children with SEND and SEMH needs, and creating inclusive, nurturing environments where all learners can thrive.

I now run my own tuition company based in Chorlton, South Manchester, offering personalised support in English and maths. I’ve continued to develop professionally, upskilling to teach KS3 English and maths as well as GCSE maths. My sessions are practical, creative and individually tailored. I use games, real-life contexts and visual resources to help learners build confidence, overcome barriers and make meaningful progress.
